Opportunity Details... ESL Teaching Assistant

The Arlington Education and Employment Program (REEP) is seeking volunteer teaching assistants to help adult learners in REEP's English as a Second Language (ESL) classes at various locations in Arlington. Teaching assistants are assigned to a class, and help students with speaking, listening, reading and writing activities in a whole class setting, small groups, or one-on-one. Volunteering at REEP is a great way to meet people from other countries and cultures and learn more about the field of ESL.

Volunteers typically work 2 to 3 hours a week, training and support are provided.

Skills:
Fluency in English (you do not need to speak another language); Interest in working with adult learners of English; Willingness to work with students from different cultural, educational, and economic backgrounds, and commitment to assisting in a class once a week for at least 3 months.
