Opportunity Details... Facilitate Group Courses in the Arlington Jail

Offender Aid and Restoration of Arlington County, Inc. (OAR) is a community-based restorative justice organization that blends compassion and accountability to assist offenders in leading productive and responsible lives, to the benefit of all.

Volunteers play a crucial role in helping OAR accomplish this goal. On average, our volunteers teach over 25 classes in the Arlington County Detention Facility and dedicate over 16,500 hours each year. Not only do volunteers provide programmatic support, but they also bring hope to so many of our clients who have been largely forgotten by society, by their friends, and even by their families.

OAR is recruiting facilitators to lead courses in the Arlington County Detention Facility. This unique opportunity will allow individuals to work with people who are in critical need of your help, while aiding the rehabilitation process and making our communities safer. Facilitators can lead courses on:
* Anger Management
* Conflict Resolution
* Money Management
* Parenting
* Stress Management
* Houses of Healing
* Computers
* And many more!

No experience working or volunteering in the jail necessary! We will provide you with all the training and support that you will need. A background check may be required.
