Opportunity Details... Tutors Needed for Post Release Education Program

Offender Aid and Restoration of Arlington County, Inc. (OAR) is a community-based restorative justice organization that blends compassion and accountability to assist offenders in leading productive and responsible lives, to the benefit of all.

Volunteers play a crucial role in helping OAR accomplish this goal. On average, our volunteers teach over 25 classes in the Arlington County Detention Facility and dedicate over 16,500 hours each year. Not only do volunteers provide programmatic support, but they also bring hope to so many of our clients who have been largely forgotten by society, by their friends, and even by their families.

OAR needs dedicated and passionate individuals to tutor for our evening and weekend Post Release Education Program (PREP). Gain meaningful experience while making an immediate impact on a person's life!

Tutors are needed to help with:
* GED, basic literacy, and ESL
* Employability and job readiness
* Resume building and mock interviews
* Anger Management facilitators

PREP operates in the OAR's Arlington Office:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6 PM - 8 PM
Saturday mornings 10 AM - 12 PM

We welcome interested individuals to visit the office and observe the program. No experience necessary! We will provide you with all the training that you may need.
